ADVERTISING SALES

Position Description: Duties include contacting potential advertisers and selling various advertising units across the Ground Control Entertainment syndicate – banners, sponsorships, etc.

Qualifications: Excellent communication and presentation skills. A proven track record with commission advertising sales. Internet and music/entertainment advertising sales preferred but not required.

INTERNSHIPS

CD Reviewers: We have openings for 5-10 CD reviewers well versed in ALL rock genres: nu-metal, hard rock, modern rock, alternative, etc..

Most CD reviews range from 3 to 12 paragraphs, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the recording, with an emphasis on the artist’s impact on the genre or the music scene in general. Some reviews are as short as one paragraph. Most featured reviews run from 8 to 12 paragraphs. The majority of the music we review is 1st release and/or indie, so if you are looking to discover new music this is an excellent opportunity. Live show reviews are open to our CD review staff, including press credentials and photo passes.

News Scouts: We have openings for 5-10 individuals to seek out relevant hot news items for our news page.

Responsibilities include submitting well written, comprehensive news items based on factual information of true events. Links to outside media sources are acceptable as long as the news post is not plagiarizing the article it links to. As our site is very unique and individual, anecdotal or tongue in cheek prose styles as well as others may be accepted. Please review our current news section for examples.
