Skillet lets loose Monster on fan club

ThePanHeads.com (Skillet fan club) members can hear the new “Monster” Single First! Members will be getting exclusive access to the new single tomorrow, July 10th. They can also pre-order an “Awake album/fan club package”.

Skillet went into the studio January 12 to finalize the new record with Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson. The title of Skillet’s next studio album (Awake) was announced on April 17th 2009 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The album will contains 12 songs, and bits of these songs can be heard in the band’s podcasts. The album is slated for release on August 25, 2009.

“Hero” was released to radio on May 19th 2009 as the album’s first single. On June 30th 2009 “Hero” was released on iTunes.
