Just hanging out

So 2009 has passed the half way point and none of us need a penicillin shot, so I think for the most part it’s been successful. We’ve been busy with our daily routines, but we do still try to make it out to as many shows as possible to give you guys and gals an insiders view of the shenanigans. Everyone here does their own thing on top of doing stuff for CageRattle.com, so don’t be surprised when you see us disappear for a bit then come back to slap you in the face with something cool and unexpected. For example, the popular radio show on Cage Rattle called “The Backstage Pass” returned for one night to give you an in depth interview with Evans Blue and Rains, as well as playing the entire EB album before it even hit store shelves. That was one of the best times I personally have had on radio in a while and it was good to hear the guys doing so well. I would also like to personally thank the regular listeners for tuning in even after almost two months of being away. Don’t get me wrong, I personally wasn’t “away”, but the show time on Tuesdays was just disagreeing with a little 11 month old, rockstar, crawlaholic, that lives in my house. As he gets older and stops wanting to break shit and throw expensive lamps off tables, we might see the show make a more steadily return. ;)

Now on to the fun stuff, we should have plenty of contests coming up here in the near future. I know myself and Mr. BigCurt are thinking up some ideas to upgrade the forum. More special access media coming your way (i.e.-backstage, studio cams, webchats, interviews), as well as much, much more. Who knows maybe well put together another tour if we get bored and bring the rock to your town.

I would also like to get people to start posting a blog on here once a week or month stating your opinion about something or someone or some type of topic related to music. But no we don’t want to hear about how your girlfriend dumped you for that dude in whatever band who has a tour bus, unless you can make it funny and entertaining. And yes, by people, I do mean you. Send it in to me at mike@cagerattle.com and we’ll review it and post it. The website is dedicated to the fans, so you should be able to contribute.

So I guess I’ll get back to my everyday grind now. I’ll be in and out of this blog from week to week, either posting one for myself or posting a submission from one of you music loving people.
Don’t forget to keep your ears and eyes peeled, and keep clicking on CageRattle.com or CageRattle.com/forum, otherwise you’re going to miss some exciting info coming in the next few weeks.
